Families from across North Idaho are invited to kick off summer at the annual Family Day in the Park & North Idaho Family Marketplace, happening Friday, June 5, from noon to 6 p.m. at Coeur d’Alene City Park.
The celebration transforms the park into a hub of fun, learning, entertainment and family connection. With free admission and most activities offered at no cost, the event welcomes all.
“This unique, collaborative event continues to support our mission of healthy families and lifelong learning,” said Oskar Owens, director of North Idaho Family Group and one of the organizers of the event. “This event represents the incredible impact that happens when nonprofits, businesses and community partners come together to better serve local families.”
Attendees can explore dozens of interactive booths and attractions, including heavy equipment interactive exhibits; Heritage Health’s mobile clinic; Jump for Joy bounce houses; Coeur d’Alene police and fire vehicles and Smokey Bear.
The event also features giveaways, entertainment, food vendors, hands-on activities and resources focused on strengthening families and supporting children.
North Idaho Family Group (NIFG), founded in 1999, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting healthy families and lifelong learning opportunities throughout the region.
