Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 1 hour, 14 minutes AGO
My brother, Larry Pearson, passed away peacefully Jan. 12, 2026, at Hospice House. Larry was born in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, on Dec. 30, 1952, graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School and pursued higher education in music at both Abilene Christian College and in Paris. Larry lived in Seattle for many years before moving back to Coeur d’Alene permanently.
Among many things that brought Larry joy were his three cats, Opal, Ruby and Apollo; spending time with family; finding fun gifts for friends; creating artistic jewelry and playing the piano in various assisted living facilities. He appreciated the excellent care he received for the last five years of his life at both Kootenai Health and Hospice House and enjoyed joking with the medical staff.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Elberteen Pearson; his sister, Anita Haman; and his brother, Wayne Pearson. He is survived by his sister, Betty Rude of Dalton Gardens, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the Lake City Senior Center, 1916 N. Lakewood Drive, Coeur d’Alene, ID 83814.
