Logan Health – Whitefish received a Stroke Hero Award at the Rocky Mountain Stroke Conference in Great Falls on May 15. The hospital was nominated for outstanding work related to Stroke Recognition and telestroke. Logan Health – Whitefish nurse Valida Holder accepted the award.
The Stroke Hero Award recognizes individuals and healthcare facilities who have a significant impact on stroke care in their communities. Logan Health – Whitefish is a Stroke Recognized hospital, and their outcomes data is consistently in the top tier of all Recognized hospitals in Montana.
Logan Health – Whitefish also utilizes telestroke services to bring stroke specialists to the patient via technology which greatly speeds up the critical time-dependent care acute stroke patients need.
