Michael (Mikey) Lamberd Orchard, 72, of Martin City passed away on May 15, 2026, from complications due to Post Polio at Mountain View Health and Rehab in Whitefish where he had resided for the last 6 ½ months. Mikey was born April 17th, 1954, in Melrose Park, Ill. In 1956 at 2 ½ he contracted polio. He learned to live with the disease and not let it keep him down. After his divorce he moved to Montana to reconnect with his childhood best friend Marcus.

He held many jobs in his lifetime. He drove a limo, drove for Pixley, and bartended, to name a few. His all-time favorite was working as a camp tender in Spotted Bear at Meadow Creek and Graves Creek, feeding and watering the stock. He loved Harleys, playing pool, to loud music and bonfires. But most of all he loved his family and friends.

He is survived by the love of his life, Kim Hill and stepson Justin Sherrard. His daughter, Rachel. His grandsons Michael and Jake, and granddaughter Evelyn. He is proceeded in Death by his beloved daughter Hope.

Mikey you never missed a birthday or anniversary. We will miss your unwavering love, heart, unfailing support, and friendship.

We hope to hold a Celebration of Life in August. Condolences may be sent to Kim Hill PO Box 190522 Hungry Horse, MT 59919.
