May 28, 1976 – MOORE-RITCHEY WED 

A beautiful wedding for two young people was held May 1 at the Little Church on the corner - Dianna Louise Moore and Ralph Ritchey. Rev. B.G. Cate from Sandpoint performed the rites. Dianna is the eldest daughter of the Morris Moores; Ralph is the son of Mrs. John DeBoer of Dalkena, Wa. Mrs. Ritchey is a 1975 graduate of Priest River high. Mr. Ritchey is employed by Dan Moore in a construction business. They will make their home at Priest River.

GREEN TO CUBAN BASE 

Petty Officer First Class Richard A. Green, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Green Sr. of Colburn, left here May 17 for Guantanamo Canal Base in Cuba, where he will be stationed as a shop supervisor for ground support equipment for the Naval Air Corps.

Due to graduate Friday from the Fours ‘n Fives Christian Preschool are Kristine Whitney, Heather Petersen, Mike Lind, Jamie Martin, Heather Leake, Troy Holt, Scott Campbell, Jeffrey Coon, Tamara Thurston, James Martin, Tara Clark, Jason Roberts, Richard Woodland, Tania Ribiero, Kara Elliot, Vicki Webb, Kimberley Neu, Lisa Hanson, Leura Holt, Lori Kincaid, Denise Nelson, James Alt, Jason McDonald, Sean Welch, Sean Lind, Eric Becker, Kimberly Derr and Brett Johnson. Teachers are Mrs. Kenneth Holt, Mrs. Jerome Neumann, Peggy Neumann, Mrs. Gene Holt and Mrs. Frank Hebert.

May 28, 1951 – TOM THUMB GRADUATES 25 

Today 25 children will “graduate” after completing the course of study prescribed in Foster and Hadley’s “Education in Kindergarten” at the Tom Thumb school. Diplomas will be presented by Mrs. Ruth Ryder to Pamela Gail Anderson, James Bruce Barlow, Dianne Jewel Benoit, Jimmy Eugene Brady, Paul Caldwell, Carol Ann Carter, Jannie Day Diehl, Nancy Sue Eakin, Marvin Ray Eng, Stephani Ann Harris, Daniel Patrick Lewis, Bruce Michael Lines, Brendan Corry McFarland, Arlene Louise Martin, Judy Mae Nettleton, Sharon Ann O’Donnell, Richard Lloyd Olson, Sharon Kay Palmer, Patricia Lynn Parkins, John Sidney Phillips, Judith Iris Schedler, Timothy James Sulzle, Gale Thoran Vess, Carol Lee White and Patricia Ann White.

MANY HELP MAKE DEDICATION SUCCESS 

Boy and Girl Scouts are reminding merchants to display Old Glory in sidewalk standards on Memorial day. In view of the day’s solemnity, the memorial committee hopes all businesses will show respect for the county’s war dead by closing from 9:45 to 12 during the parade and memorial dedication services.

GERI PHILLIPS IS JR. RED CROSS DELEGATE 

SHS delegate Miss Geri Phillips will attend a 10-day course of the Jr. Red Cross at Flathead, Mont. The daughter of Mrs. Ada Phillips, Geri will be president of the SHS Jr. Red Cross her senior year.
