COLLEGE NOTEBOOK: Rae breaks shot put school record, receives All-American honors for fifth-place finish at NAIA National Championship

Helene Rae, College of Idaho Track & Field
A 2025 graduate of Bonners Ferry High, Helene, a freshman thrower, placed fifth out of 20 competitors in the shot put with a new personal best and school-record mark of 47 feet, 6.25 inches at the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships held May 20-22 at UNC Asheville's Karl Straus Track. The former Lady Badger's throw, which earned her NAIA All-American honors, beat out the previous school record set in 2018 by 8.75 inches. The College of Idaho finished tied for 24th out of 74 scoring teams in women's action.
Camille Ussher, Lewis-Clark State College Track & Field
A 2022 graduate of Bonners Ferry High, Camille, a senior distance runner, placed 17th out of 19 runners in the preliminary round of the 800-meter run with a time of 2 minutes, 16.81 seconds at the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships held May 20-22 at UNC Asheville's Karl Straus Track. Lewis-Clark State College finished tied for 47th out of 74 scoring teams in women's action.
