Science on Tap: Innovative Phosphorus Fertilization to Improve Plant Growth and Protect Water Quality – 6 p.m. June 3 at Bunker’s Restaurant at Polson Bay Golf Course; scientist Ed Gannon will discuss the hazards of production and use of traditional phosphate fertilizer and how these products are a significant contributor to aquatic eutrophication in Montana surface waters and beyond. He’ll also introduce PhoSul, an award-winning alternative (2024 winner of the Green Chemistry Challenge Award) that protects water quality while paving the way for a more sustainable and secure agricultural future.
