Rep. Reksten appreciates community support
Lake County Leader | UPDATED 1 month, 2 weeks AGO
My commitment to Lake County has grown stronger with every door I’ve knocked and every conversation I’ve had.
Our community is filled with generous, hardworking people, and I am deeply grateful for the support I have received – from neighbors representing multiple Indigenous communities to organizations such as the Northwest Montana Farm Bureau, the Montana Stockgrowers Association, the Montana Hospital Association, St. Joseph Medical Center and St. Luke Community Healthcare, as well as every resident I’ve had the honor of meeting. I’m especially thankful for the volunteers, supporters, and community members who care so deeply about Lake County and its future.
My love for this community is what first inspired me to run for the Legislature, and it continues to guide my work today. From the beginning, my goal has been to advocate for Lake County and support the success of every resident. That includes backing tax reform that lowered both income taxes and property taxes for 80% of Lake County residents.
Key results for Lake County also include:
• Education: I supported legislation that helps students receive a high-quality education, build the skills they need to succeed, and access career pathways through credentials and dual-credit opportunities – giving families more choices at lower cost.
• Public safety: I helped pass SB 393 to strengthen public safety and law enforcement to ensure Lake County law enforcement will have the resources they need to fund a collaborative working relationship with the CSKT.
• Community investment: Most recently, I worked with the Department of Commerce helping to secure a $2.75 million dollar grant for the Mission Valley Ice Arena, to move this important project forward.
With less than a week until Election Day, I am grateful to call Polson home and honored to continue serving our community after three terms in the Montana House.
In my final term in the Legislature, I will keep Lake County residents first by supporting legislation that reflects our community’s needs and priorities.
Thank you for the trust you have placed in me since 2020.
– Rep. Linda Reksten, House District 13, Polson
