Severe weather warning issued for Thursday

SANDPOINT — The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning across the inland northwest for Thursday afternoon and evening.
Bonner and Boundary counties have been issued a level one, marginal risk warning from 4 to 10 p.m. Thursday. The region could see isolated heavy rain, wind gusts up to 60 mph, frequent lightning and up to 1 inch size hail, according to the NWS.
The thunderstorms are expected to arrive following an extraordinarily warm day on Thursday, when temperatures are expected to reach the 90s across the county.
The NWS is also predicting continued heavy rain throughout the region heading into Friday and Saturday.
