Spokane man dies in crash in Coeur d'Alene

A Spokane man died in a two-vehicle crash in Coeur d'Alene today.
According to the Idaho State Police, a Rathdrum police officer came upon a collision on westbound Interstate 90 at milepost 11 on the on-ramp about 2:30 p.m. involving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a Ford SUV. The officer requested ISP troopers respond.
The driver of the motorcycle was a 72-year-old man from Spokane. He was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The driver of the Ford, a 36-year-old man from Sagle, was uninjured, a press release said.
Westbound I-90 was blocked for about 45 minutes before one lane of travel was opened. The milepost 11 westbound on-ramp was blocked for the investigation. All travel lanes, and the ramp, were opened at 4:15 p.m.
An investigation continues.
