Delores Dorene Seibel passed away Oct. 28, 2026, at Brendon House in Kalispell.

Delores was born Oct. 1, 1933, to parents Henry Fournier and Leah (LaCoursiere) Fournier on the family farm near Terrebonne, Minnesota. When she was 14, her parents gave her permission to move into the home of an elderly couple in Plummer, Minnesota, to act as their caregiver. Her duties included cooking, cleaning, laundry, chopping wood, and hauling water from the well to the house. Delores loved working for them and never moved back to the farm.

When she was in her late teens, a friend, Marie, arranged a double date with two young men. Marie went with Ted Seibel and Delores went with a fellow named Bud. Ted was so smitten with Delores that he asked Bud to swap gals half way through the date! Ted and Delores were married on Jan. 16, 1952. Ted got a job on a road construction crew, so the young couple lived in a small 25-foot trailer and moved from job to job. While still living in the trailer at Minot, North Dakota, they welcomed son Darrel to the family. They didn't have room for a crib, so Darrel's bed was a dresser drawer until they got a buggy. Delores was a great seamstress so made extra money by making and mending clothes for the other crew members and their families. She was very talented and could make or do anything.

In 1956, Ted and Delores quit road construction, settled in Chinook, Montana, and bought their own truck. Daughter Kathy was born soon after. While Ted was trucking, Delores went to work at various jobs including cooking for several restaurants, working in a bakery, working for Chinook Meat Co., house cleaning, and working at the school cafeteria.

Growing up during the Depression left a powerful impact on her life. Delores learned to be thrifty, to save, and to not be wasteful. Delores was a lifelong Catholic and had a strong faith. She loved making beautiful craft items (crochet, quilts, purses, and fabric and leather clothing). One Christmas she made quilts to give to five different families! Delores loved being around people and entertaining and was a fabulous cook. She many times prepared homemade meals for up to 18 people in her home.

She also loved dancing, traveling, camping, fishing, and get togethers with others. A Caribbean cruise with her husband, daughter, and son-in-law for their 50th wedding anniversary was the highlight of her life! Delores always had little dogs and loved them dearly.

Above all else, her heart was always with her family. Delores lived for times spent with those she loved. Unwavering kindness shaped a life defined by deep relationships and heartfelt care for others. Everyone loved her. She was truly an angel! God be with you until we meet again!

Delores was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ted; her son, Darrel; and two brothers, Lawrence and Keough.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy; her son-in-law, Terry; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held for Delores Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior from 10-11am.
