Richard (Dick) Vann Williams Oct. 2, 1942 - Oct. 13, 2026 

Richard "Dick" Vann Williams, 84, from Plains passed away on Oct. 13, 2026. Dick was the middle son of Everett and Eleanor Williams, born on Oct. 2, 1942 in lowa. 

He had a lengthy U.S. military career in artillery and ammunition readiness training, retiring after 32 years of military service. 

Dick was survived by his wife, Judy of 53 years, son Josh (Teresa), stepdaughter Trish of Billings, son Richard of lowa, daughter Melissa of lowa, 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. 

Dick loved Montana and the beautiful mountains. He spent his free time looking over his kingdom and whittling. 

Dick's Funeral Mass will be at St. James Catholic Church on Saturday, Nov. 7 at noon, followed by burial with Military Honors at Plains Cemetery. Lunch will follow at St. James Parish Hall.
