COEUR d'ALENE — The holiday season is just around the corner, and downtown Coeur d'Alene is raising a glass to the most wonderful time of the year.
Wine for the Holidays returns Saturday for an afternoon of wine tasting, festive shopping, live entertainment, and holiday cheer in the heart of downtown.
"The annual event offers the perfect opportunity to get a head start on holiday shopping while discovering unique gifts, exploring local boutiques, and sampling a variety of wines at participating downtown businesses," a press release said. "From finding the perfect stocking stuffers to enjoying a festive afternoon with friends, Wine for the Holidays brings together some of the best of downtown in one spirited celebration."
Participating businesses will add to the celebration with specials, seasonal treats, live music, and unique in-store experiences. Attendees can explore a festive holiday market, visit the Santa Lounge, and discover plenty of other seasonal surprises along the way.
Wine for the Holidays is also an opportunity to spread a little extra holiday cheer. As part of the Downtown Association's commitment to giving back, the event will once again support the Toys for Tots Foundation.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped or handmade toy or book to event check-in to help brighten the holidays for local children in exchange for extra wine tastings.
Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the event and include a commemorative wine glass and eight 1-ounce wine pours, with additional tasting tickets available for purchase.
Event check-in is located at The Coeur d'Alene Resort Plaza Shops, 210 E. Sherman Ave. Enjoy wine tastings only at designated tasting locations.
