Post Falls police assist in arrest of fugitive

The Post Falls Police Department joined law enforcement agencies in the arrest of a fugitive in Otis Orchards, Wash., on Wednesday.

Austin Winchester, 58, was taken into custody in the 5000 block of North Del Rey Drive on a King County Superior Court felony warrant for two counts of commercial sex abuse of a minor, two counts of rape of a child in the third degree, and two counts of communication of a minor for immoral purposes in King County, Wash., a press release said.

The arrest followed a multi-agency fugitive investigation involving the United States Marshals Service Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force and Greater Idaho Fugitive Task Force, detectives and deputies with the Spokane Valley Police Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Post Falls Police Department and the King County Sheriff’s Office.
