Daily Inter-Lake | UPDATED 5 hours, 23 minutes AGO
Carol Ann Keller Lyonais went to be with her Savior Nov. 1, 2026.
She was born in Kalispell July 13, 1952, to Henry Keller and Anna Mae (Dygert) Keller and grew up on a ranch northwest of town with her brother Donald.
Her father Henry passed away, and in 1972 Carol and Mae moved into town while her brother Don and his family stayed on the homeplace.
Carol married Don Lyonais in 2001 and were married for 25 years until he passed.
Carol was an avid reader and enjoyed many different authors. Her favorite book was "Gone with the Wind," which was also her favorite movie.
She also loved to cook and bake. She made the desserts and candies for family get-togethers and loved to bring all manner of dishes to church functions at Flathead Valley Baptist church where she was a member for many years.
Carol loved working with her hands. She loved jigsaw puzzles and made several ceramic pieces, but her real passions were knitting and crochet. She made countless gifts for people over the years. Everything from doilies to afghans and tablecloths.
In March of 2026, Carol moved to Helena to live by her niece Dianne and Dianne's husband Richard.
Carol was proceeded in death by her father, brother, mother and husband.
She is survived by her two nieces, Dianne (Richard), Valerie (Chad); one great-niece Allison (Brandon); three great-nephews Matt (Brianna), Tyler (Sierra) and Sam; and many cousins and friends in both Kalispell and Helena.
The family wishes to thank the Imaging staff at St. Peter's Hospital, Renaissance Assisted Living (Wildwood), Cooney Healthcare and Headwaters Palliative Care and Hospice.
A special thank you to Pastor Scott Martz and Valley View Lutheran Church of Helena for all the prayers and support for both Carol and the family.
Graveside services will be Saturday, Nov. 14, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Conrad Memorial Cemetery.
