James Henry Frame, 81, passed away Oct. 11, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, music, and love. Born on July 25, 1945, in Orofino, Idaho, to Allan and Leah Frame, Jim later made his home in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Jim was a fun, loving, independent man who lived life on his own terms. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He also had a passion for hot rods and took pride in remodeling them. Music brought him joy, especially singing with the Fabulous Shadows.

Jim was a proud Navy Corpsman who served in Vietnam. His service to this country was an important part of his life and something that he carried with pride.

Above all, Jim cherished his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Catherine; his daughter, Melissa (Lee); his son, Matthew (Amanda). He was a proud grandfather to Payten (Ariel), Layton (Penelope), Taylen (Jacob), and Dillon, and a loving great-grandfather to Remington, McKenzie, Colter, and Charlotte.

Jim will be remembered for his independent spirit, love of adventure, music, and family. Though he will be deeply missed, the memories he left behind will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, 2026, at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1700 E. Pennsylvania, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, with a reception following. Yates Funeral Home is entrusted with final arrangements. Please sign Jim’s online guestbook at www.yatesfuneralhomes.com.
