Football teams from across the valley are showing tenacity and bringing home some wins as they enter the middle of their seasons.
In 8-Man football, the Arlee Warriors brought in their first season victory, winning 44-28 against the Plains Horsemen; the Charlo Vikings took a hit, losing 14-40 to the Harlowton Engineers; and the St. Ignatius Bulldogs had a bye week.
In Class A, Ronan Chiefs suffered a heavy loss, falling 6-45 to the Whitefish Bulldogs; and the Polson Pirates took an impressive victory, winning 51-0 to the Libby Loggers.

Polson City Commission approves closing SID, tables taxpayer refund
Taxpayers within the bounds of Special Improvement District 42 raised several questions during a recent Polson City Commission public hearing about SID 42 after the City of Polson posted a document detailing the properties and possible refund amounts, which totaled about $6,000 less than the approximate amount in the SID account.
