A Polson man, who admitted to vandalizing a vehicle, had the imposition of sentencing deferred for three years in Polson District Court Sept. 24.
Jaiden Szandor Jacobson, 23, entered a guilty plea to felony criminal mischief in Polson District Court on Aug. 6 before Judge John A. Mercer as part of a plea agreement.
According to court records, on Oct. 16, 2025, law enforcement officers were called to investigate a disorderly male at Polson Landing Apartments in the Ridgewater subdivision and identified the man as Jacobson. The officers spoke with the property manager and the apartment occupant, where Jacobson was attempting to make contact, and made the decision to give Jacobson a ride home.
The property manager contacted law enforcement again about two-and-a-half hours later and indicated that Jacobson had returned and was hiding in a stairwell. The property manager said Jacobson left the building and “keyed” a red Chevy pickup truck.
Officers arrived and observed that the word “cheater” was scratched into the paint of the pickup. Judge Mercer ordered restitution in the amount $5,581.63.
