PRIEST RIVER — Four goals from Lil Terrien and two goals from senior Taren Bateman helped Bonners Ferry cruise past Priest River in an Intermountain League showdown on Saturday afternoon.

Bonners Ferry's Denolious Hiatt added three assists while Lillian Wright also assisted a goal. The Badgers' victory was the team's sixth in a row and improved them to 10-4 on the season and 10-3 in league play. Bonners Ferry has not lost a game since Sept. 15 when they played league leader Timberlake.

"Girls played aggressively and did a good job adjusting and flowing to substitutions and getting some of our younger players time and experience," Bonners Ferry head coach Emily Winebark said. "We were missing our center back, and Marley Pauls did a great job stepping into that position, which was new for her."

The Badgers will get a second chance to hand the Tigers their first league loss of the season on Saturday, Oct. 2 at 4 p.m. That game will close out Bonners Ferry's regular season and position them for the Intermountain League District tournament, which will conclude by Oct. 13.

The top two teams from the Intermountain League will qualify for the 4A State Tournament, which is set to be hosted in Twin Falls for girls soccer.

PRIEST RIVER — Bouncing back from their loss to Coeur d'Alene Charter, the Bonners Ferry Badgers soccer team thrashed the Priest River Spartans on Saturday afternoon.

Senior Riley Beggarly scored a hat trick against the Spartans, bringing his total up to 12 on the year. Senior Aaron Tadlock scored and notched an assist, while senior Trevor Festini scored a goal. Two freshmen, Jackson Chavira and James Cederquist, rounded out the scoring with a goal apiece.

Senior Peyton Hinthorn added two assists to a packed stat line for the Badgers, and freshman Oliver Hartman had an assist.

Bonners Ferry improved to 7-3-1 in the year and 7-2 in league play. The Badgers will travel to Timberlake for their final Intermountain League game on Oct. 2 at 6 p.m. Bonners Ferry will close out their season with their final home game against St. George's on Oct. 3 at 11 a.m. and two away games against Stillwater Christian on Oct. 5 and Oct. 10.

After concluding their regular season, the Badgers will play in the Intermountain League district championship as the second seed. The top two teams from that championship will qualify for the 4A State Tournament and travel to Burley.

Bonners Ferry senior Riley Beggarly kicks a ball against Priest River on Saturday. Beggarly scored a hat trick in the Badgers' win over the Spartans.
