Gerald 'Jerry' Francis Marsh, 87

Gerald “Jerry” Francis Marsh, 87, of Evergreen, passed away Friday, Sept. 25, 2026, at Logan Health Medical Center.
Jerry was born Nov. 12, 1938, in Russell, North Dakota, and grew up on the family farm with his parents and siblings. He attended Upham High School.
In the early 1960s, he moved to the Flathead Valley, where he met Nellie “Kay” Kathleen Cox. They were married Nov. 14, 1964, and made their home in Evergreen for the next 57 years.
Jerry worked for several construction companies in the valley as a machinery operator. He served more than 25 years as a volunteer firefighter with the Evergreen Fire Department and was active in both the Moose Lodge and the Eagles in Kalispell. Farming was his favorite pastime, along with hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Kay Marsh of Kalispell; daughters Kari Himel (Rick) and Joni Marsh (Joe Olson); sister Linda Johnson of Minot, North Dakota; grandchildren Halle Look, Reid Killebrew, Hunter Himel, and Hudson Himel; and 12 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Mildred Marsh of Upham, North Dakota, and by his brothers Merlin Marsh and Pete Marsh.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date. Buffalo Hill Funeral Home is caring for the family.
