Devils focus on building 6-man foundation

Focusing on growth and development more than on wins and losses, the Noxon Red Devils hosted Power-Dutton-Brady in Montana 6-Man football action Friday.
Although P-D-B won the game 45-13, Noxon coach Lucas MacArthur found a lot of good in what went down with his young squad Friday.
“We are a really young team focusing on building a good foundation for the program,” MacArthur said. “We have a lot of freshmen and sophomore stepping up and good things happening with our upperclassmen too.
“It wasn’t a win against Power,” he added, “but we did take a lot of positives away from it.”
MacArthur said the Devils now have two weeks to prepare for their next game, at Valier Oct. 16. The Devils will complete regular season play hosting Heart Butte Oct. 23, possibly with a 6-Man playoff spot on the line.
MacArthur said Walker Frevert and Caleb Mullett scored Noxon’s touchdowns in the game with Power-Dutton-Brady.
