Horsemen to host Bobcats for Homecoming

The Plains Horsemen will host the Superior Bobcats for the 2026 PHS homecoming game Friday.

In non-conference action last week, the Clark Fork Wampus Cats crossed state lines to defeat the Horsemen 56-0 in Plains Friday.

Plains coach Mike Tatum said the Horsemen cut down on the number of penalties they have been having against Clark Fork, but that turnovers were their big bugaboo versus the Wampus Cats.

Tatum knows what he is up against in powerful Superior this week. The Bobcats are 6-0 and leading the Western C 8-Man conference after defeating Darby 56-26 Friday.

“Superior is Superior,” he said. “We'll watch film and plan to try and be as successful as we can.

“We're definitely learning a lot of lessons in adversity and understanding the big picture in life,” he added, “on and off the field.”
