The young Noxon Lady Red Devils dropped two four-set road matches last week, falling to Hot Springs in Hot Springs Tuesday, Sept. 29 and to Superior in Superior Saturday.

Coach Toni Richter and her Devils have two more 14C matches this week, with Hot Springs in Noxon Tuesday and at St. Regis Saturday.

Richter was encouraged by what she saw from her team last week.

“They keep improving every week. I think we are going see a lot of growth in the next few weeks,” she said. “They are really starting to move and communicate as a team.”

Richter said her Devils are still experiencing some growing pains but that when they are communicating well they are at their best. “The momentum and drive was there and it showed,” she said. “Keeping that momentum consistently is something I would love to see with these young ladies. I know it’s coming.”

Senior Sandy Bonney led the Devils against Hot Springs with eight kills, nine service aces and a stuff block, Loganne Curry added three kills and a block, Nevaeh Christensen 10 assists, Sydnie Eichert four assists, Kaylie Mercer four aces and 10 digs and Laynie Eichert six digs.

Against Superior, Brielle MacArthur had five kills and nine digs, Curry three kills, Bonney four aces and two blocks, Sydnie Eichert seven assists and four aces, Christensen seven assists, Mercer 10 aces and 14 digs, and Sydnie Eicjhert four aces.
