Lady Hawks cap homecoming with net win

The Thompson Falls Lady Hawks capped a busy week of homecoming activities with a feel-good 25-17, 25-18, 25-11 win over the visiting Eureka at TFHS Saturday.
In other action last week, the Hawks went to Troy and fell 25-21, 25-17, 22-25, 25-19 to the Lady Trojans Tuesday, Sept. 29.
Thompson Falls coach Sandra Kazmierczak was impressed with how her Lady Hawks played against Eureka. “That match was a lot of fun, the girls played to their potential, played a really clean match,” she said. “They seem to get along great, have a lot of fun playing together.”
Addy Deal led the Hawks to the quick three-set win over the Lions with another great all-around effort, clubbing 15 kills and a stuff block, hitting up 10 digs and an ace, Aubrey Baxter added five kills, a block, an ace and four digs, and Audrey Fairbank 21 set assists, nine digs, four kills and an ace.
Jasmine Risch had 10 digs, three aces and a kill, Marley Robinson hit 100% of her serves including two aces and had four digs and a kill, Cami Spencer also put all her serves in play and hit six digs and Makarlie Stein hit four.
Kazmierczak said she was impressed with how well the Lady Trojans played against her Hawks in Troy. “Troy has really improved, are really playing well,” she said. “They had us on the defense a little bit, credit to them for that.”
Deal smashed 20 kills and four stuff blocks, two service aces and 20 digs to lead the Hawks at the net in Troy, Baxter had seven Ks, three blocks, an ace and 10 digs, and Robinson two kills, an ace and nine digs.
Splitting the setting duties in Troy, Fairbank hit 16 set assists and Risch 10, while Audrey added four kills, three aces and 13 digs, and Jasmin two kills and 10 digs.
This week, the Lady Hawks host Deer Lodge Thursday before traveling to Mission for a District 7B conference match with the Lady Bulldogs Saturday.
