Roger Eugene Kesting, 52

Roger Eugene Kesting, 52, of Superior, passed away on September 16, 2026, at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula. 

Roger was born on June 20, 1974, in Sandpoint, Idaho, while the family was living in Clark Fork, Idaho, to Roger L. and Maxine Kesting. In January of 1981, he moved with his family to Superior, Montana, where he resided for the remainder of his life. Roger was very active in school and loved sports. He wrestled and played football and basketball, as well as ran track. Following high school, Roger attended two years of college before beginning a career as a carpenter. He especially enjoyed finish work and took pride in his craft. Roger also had a deep love for the outdoors, particularly hunting. He enjoyed following his two hounds while chasing mountain lions and spending time in the mountains with his bow or rifle in pursuit of elk. 

Roger was preceded in death by his brother, Roy Anthony “Tony” Kesting. 

He is survived by his parents, Roger L. and Maxine Kesting; and his brother, Kelly (Renee) Kesting. 

Roger will be laid to rest next spring at Clark Fork Cemetery in Idaho, where he will be buried near his brother, Tony.
