Coach Taylor Salmi and her Savage Heat netters are getting serious about things, beginning right now.

Preparing themselves for the rapidly approaching post season, the Savage Heat have three District 14C volleyball matches on tap this week, in Noxon Tuesday, with Charlo in Hot Springs Thursday and with Two Eagle River Friday.

Salmi said the Heat are currently 8-1 in conference play with that only loss coming to league-leading Charlo. “We are in full tournament prep now. The Charlo match should be a really fun one for us to see how we match up at this point in the season,” she said. “They beat us early on, but we are hoping for the W this time around.”

The Heat defeated St. Regis in five sets in their only action last week.

Hollis Key executed 11 of Hot Springs’ 34 kills in that match, Lanet Jakabosky had six blocks and eight digs, Dakota Slonaker hit nine aces and eight digs and Mackenzie Johnson 18 assists.
