What happens if the transfer is protested? Depending on the number of protests and the protest grounds, a public hearing will be held in Helena or Ronan. All valid protestors will be notified of the hearing’s time, date and location. Hearings typically are scheduled within 90 days. A protester’s hearing testimony is limited to the grounds in the protester’s letter. CSKT REQUEST FOR PROPSALS (RFP) REQUEST FOR BIDS ON ARIEL HERBICIDE APPLICATION FLATHEAD RESERVATION MONTANA Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes (CSKT or Tribes) The CSKT Tribal Lands Department (Department or TLD) is seeking a qualified commercial applicator to perform helicopter herbicide application. Herbicide applications are planned for 1,849 acres of Tribal lands within the Flathead Reservation during fall 2026. Additional acres may be added for herbicide/seeding applications. PROJECT GOAL The goal is to perform the above work during the fall of 2026 in a safe, effective and timely manner. PROJECT WORK AND TIMELINE The work to be performed consists of using a helicopter to apply herbicides on approximately 1,849 acres within the project location (please email [email protected] for a Map). PUBLIC NOTICE The Lake County Solid Waste District (LCSWD) is soliciting sealed bids from qualified contractors to provide complete design-build services for the construction of a new maintenance shop building at Lake County Landfill. Sealed bids will be received at the Lake County Transfer Station, 36117 N Reservoir Road, Polson Mt until 3:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday, October 27, 2026. The building shall be a commercial-grade engineered post-frame (pole) building with the following minimum dimensions: 50 feet wide x 70 feet long with no less than 14-foot wall height. Interior should be finished with 26ga. Prefinished full height sheet metal to include all trim, fasteners and closures. The building shall be engineered by a Professional Engineer licensed in the State of Montana and designed to meet all applicable local, state, and federal building codes, including required snow, wind, and seismic loading. The contractor shall obtain all required permits and coordinate all required inspections. The successful contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, engineering, permits, inspections, supervision, and incidentals necessary to deliver a complete, fully operational facility. The contractor shall be responsible for all design, engineering, permitting, construction, utility connections, and final commissioning of the building.
