It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Lee Snow, beloved husband, father, musician, farmer and friend.

A gifted bass player, Gary’s musical career spanned more than five decades throughout Canada and the United States with many treasured friends. He also hosted his own radio program, “Barnyard Blues Music Hour.”

Gary was especially proud to pass his love and gift of music on to his son, Micah.

Gary and his wife, Susan, spent 20 years growing cherries in Creston, B.C., and together they later founded Tabletree, producing internationally award-winning specialty fruit juices.

Gary was a wonderful storyteller with a quick wit, gentle heart and unforgettable sense of humor. Even as dementia took many of his memories, it never took away his music.

Gary is survived by his wife Susan; son Micah and daughter-in-law Ashley of Glasgow, Scotland; brother and wife Larry and Madge Newport; extended family; and many treasured friends.

The bass may have gone quiet, but Gary’s music, stories and laughter will live on. His memorial will be held at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 18 at North Valley Music School, 1998 River Lakes Parkway In Whitefish.
