On September 15, 2026, NorthWestern Corporation d/b/a NorthWestern Energy (“NorthWestern”), along with the city of Bozeman, the City of Missoula, and Missoula County (collectively, “the Lead Communities”), filed with the Montana Public Service Commission (“Commission”) an application seeking approval of a new tariff establishing NorthWestern’s Green Power Program (“Application”). According to the proposed tariff, NorthWestern’s Green Power Program (“GPP”) will provide an optional supplemental service for eligible customers of NorthWestern seeking to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions associated with electricity service. According to the Application, NorthWestern’s GPP was developed collaboratively with the Lead Communities to provide a voluntary option to serve interested customers who desire additional renewable energy built in Montana, while minimizing the risks to NorthWestern’s non-subscribing customers. 2. A copy of the filing is publicly available at the Commission’s business office, 1701 Prospect Avenue, Helena, MT 59601, and the Commission’s online REDDI portal (reddi.mt.gov) under Docket 2026.09.051.
