Priest River (4-1) vs. Kellogg (0-6), 7 p.m.

PRIEST RIVER — The No. 5 3A school in Idaho, the Priest River Spartans, will welcome Central Idaho League foe Kellogg to town for the team’s senior night Friday.

Key to Priest River’s chances will be its defense, which has allowed 14 points in its last four games. The vaunted Spartans defense has overwhelmed opponents, forcing 11 turnovers, including two pick-6s by Madden Redinger and totaling 11 sacks in five games.

In its last four games, Priest River has shut out its opponents, including a 76-0 thrashing of Orofino last week. The Spartans could add a third shutout to their season total as they face Kellogg, a team that has not scored a point since Sept. 18 against Timberlake and has only broken into double digits once against Logos on Aug. 27.

Priest River’s offense has been a bit inconsistent through the 2026 season, but they exploded for 56 first-half points last week. Senior running back Colton Kuprienko, who averages 95 rushing yards in a game, will look to lead the Spartans’ attack yet again against a Wildcat defense that has struggled to stop the run all year.

Jacob Best, Priest River’s quarterback, has been steadily improving in his junior season. Best will look to get the ball to fellow junior wideout Layton Goins, the Spartans’ leading receiver, and senior pass catcher Kane Berns. If Best comes out firing on all cylinders, Priest River’s offense will be difficult to slow.

Priest River will continue their Central Idaho League title defense against Kellogg at Spartan Stadium at 7 p.m. For those who cannot attend, the game will be streamed on the NFHS Network and on IdahoSports.com.

Clark Fork (3-3) @ Wallace (6-0), 7 p.m.

WALLACE — Clark Fork’s gauntlet of a schedule continues as they hit the road to take on the No. 4 2A team in Idaho, the Wallace Miners, in a nonleague game on Friday night.

This is the second time the Wampus Cats will have played the Miners this season, with Wallace dominating the first meeting 52-26 at Clark Fork Jr./Sr. High on Sept. 11. However, this is not the same Clark Fork team that Wallace saw in the third game of the season.

The Wampus Cats climbed to 3-3 with a shutout of Plains (MT) last week, carrying their momentum from a homecoming win over Lakeside into a second straight victory. Over the last two weeks, Clark Fork has outscored opponents 102-12 thanks to impressive performances from Wampus Cats’ running back Charlie Becker, who has five offensive touchdowns and a pick-6 in that time.

Clark Fork, a 1A school, will likely struggle to contain 2A Wallace’s offense, which has rolled over every team they’ve played this year. However, Wampus Cats’ head coach Andre Johansen said last week he’s optimistic his team will stick with the Miners and help their case for an at-large bid to state.

Wallace will play host to Clark Fork at Sather Field on Friday at 7 p.m.
