POST FALLS — Sophomore midfielder Riley Greene scored twice in the second half for second-seeded Coeur d’Alene Charter in a 2-0 win over third-seeded Bonners Ferry in a semifinal match in the 4A District 1-2 tournament on Friday at The Fields.

“We had a tough first half trying to fight against the wind and missing two easy goal-scoring opportunities,” Coeur d’Alene Charter coach Stacy Smith said. “However, we bounced back at halftime and started connecting better, feeling more confident and controlling a lot of the game. Riley stepped up in big moments and found the back of the net pretty quickly early into the second half and then did it again about three minutes later.”

Sophomore Ara Glinski had three saves for Coeur d’Alene Charter.

“Ara played her best game of the season,” Smith said. “With a few of her big stops, the energy rose and each player played their role very well to end the second half on top.”
