CLARK FORK — Sophomore setter Kiylah Anderson put a bow on her standout year for the Clark Fork Wampus Cats as the team polished off an undefeated regular season against North Star foe Mullan on Friday night.
As is Wampus Cat tradition in 2026, Clark Fork swept Mullan (25-17, 25-14, 25-16) to improve to 16-0 overall and 8-0 in league play. Anderson totaled 23 assists, eight aces, five kills and four digs to round out a season that has seen her lead one of the most dominant offenses in 1A.
“We are proud of our season so far, but we are far from done growing and improving together,” Clark Fork head coach Lyndsie Kiebert-Carey said.
Grace Thompson led Clark Fork with nine kills, while Nora-Jean Hoy and Vanessa Rogier added five each. Rogier added eight aces as the Wampus Cats totaled 24 aces as a team against the Tigers.
Freshman Molly Adams totaled a team-high five digs and four aces, continuing an impressive week for the young Wampus Cat.
While Clark Fork finished undefeated in the regular season, their hopes of going to the state tournament will depend on the North Star District Championship game. The Wampus Cats will play the winner of Coeur du Christ and Kootenai, who play Tuesday, for a spot in the 1A State Tournament on Oct. 16 at 5 p.m. at North Idaho College.
Priest River 3, Grangeville 0
GRANGEVILLE — The Priest River Spartans bested Central Idaho League opponent Grangeville in three sets (25-17, 25-21, 25-23) on Friday night.
Priest River improved to 12-3 overall and 5-2 in league play with the victory. Further details were not available at the time of publication.
Priest River 3, Orofino 2
OROFINO — The Priest River Spartans closed out their season with a narrow victory over the Orofino Maniacs (25-15, 14-25, 16-25, 25-14, 15-13) in a Central Idaho League game on Saturday.
The Spartans finish their season 13-3 and 6-2 in the CIL, good enough for the No. 2 seed in the District 1-2 Tournament. Next up for Priest River is the CIL District Tournament, which starts on Oct. 13. The top two teams from that tournament will advance to the 3A State Tournament.
