Big Sky FB: Weber St., Portland St. and Eastern Washington nab wins

OGDEN, Utah — Spencer Ferguson took the first snap of the game 75 yards for a touchdown and Weber State never trailed en route to a victory over Idaho.
Ferguson finished with 153 yards on the ground and a pair of scores for the Wildcats (3-3 overall, 3-1 in BSC games). Nate Dahle threw for 99 yards and one score with one interception.
Joshua Wood tossed for 383 yards and four touchdowns on 32-for-50 efficiency for Idaho (1-5, 1-2 in BSC games), who upset Montana State last week. He was picked off twice.
Tony Harste caught six passes for 96 yards and two TDs.
Portland St. 30, Utah Tech 14
PORTLAND, Ore. — Tyrese Smith threw for 192 yards and two touchdowns and Portland State used a big first half to defeat Utah Tech.
Delon Thompson added 78 yards on the ground for the Vikings (2-4, 2-1 in BSC games), who scored the first 23 points of the game.
Smith added one score on the ground.
Bronsen Barben tossed for 224 yards for Utah Tech (0-7, 0-4 in BSC games) and ran for 61 yards and a touchdown.
E. Washington 31, N. Colorado 22
CHENEY, Wash. — Nate Bell threw for 334 yards and Eastern Washington held off a late Northern Colorado charge for the Eagles first conference win.
Wesley Garrett had eight catches for 138 yards for the Eagles (2-5, 1-3 in BSC games).
Northern Colorado (2-5, 1-3 in BSC games) trailed 28-6 at the half before quarterback Keegan Patterson ran for and caught a touchdown to pull the Bears within six. Patterson threw for 141 yards with two interceptions.
Eastern added a late field goal to extend the advantage before two interceptions sealed the victory.
