Katie Sawyer, 48, of Hayden, Idaho, passed away on Sept. 24, 2026. She was born on April 11, 1978, in Casper, Wyo.
Katie lived life on her own terms. Strong-willed and independent, she never hesitated to speak her mind. She knew what she wanted and expressed herself confidently. With her unique personality, Katie navigated through life with boldness and authenticity.
Katie had a way of bringing people together and knew how to throw an awesome party for just about any occasion. She loved creating fun, memorable times for those around her. But one of the most important parts of Katie's life was being a mother to her three children: daughters Kaylee and Keira, and son Jax. She always made time for them, sharing experiences and creating memories that will remain part of their lives.
Katie also adored her nieces and nephew, who held a special place in her heart.
Katie often said, ''I'm here for a good time, not a long time." Those words captured her approach to life and serve as a fitting reminder of the woman she was.
Katie was a strong, independent woman whose life was filled with its own joys, challenges, and complexities. She lived life on her own terms, leaving behind a story that was uniquely hers. Those who shared her life will remember her through the memories they hold dear.
Katie was preceded in death by her father, Rick Harris.
Katie is survived by her children, Kaylee, Keira, and Jax; her former husband and friend, Travis Sawyer; her mother, Jackie Logan; her sisters, Tamara Hilliard and Tracie Slabaugh; and her extended family and loved ones.
May Katie rest in peace, and may her children, family, and friends find comfort in the memories they cherish and the moments they shared with her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Nov. 7, 2026, from 1-5 p.m. at 3379 E Ohio Match Rd, Hayden, Idaho 83835.
