Marlene M. Kilpatrick, 90, passed away Sept. 20, 2026. She finally gave up the fight and decided to go find her husband, Harold “Jay” Kilpatrick, who had passed away Dec. 11, 2012. She was convinced he was totally lost without her telling him what to do, as Marlene was truly lost without Jay.

Marlene will be remembered for her larger-than-life personality and her uncanny ability to always make a “fashion statement” with a touch of class when she walked into a room. Her love of shopping will never be surpassed.

Marlene is survived by her daughter, Karlene Ochoa and Karlene's three children, Celeste Carnrick (Jason Krakauskas), Ryan Carnrick (Heejung Yoon), and Nicole Ngo. In addition, Marlene was blessed with five great-grandchildren, Bryce Walden, Taylor Plum, Drake Morra, Dylan Carnrick, and Page Ngo, all of the San Francisco Bay Area. Marlene was able to be present when her great-great-granddaughter, Amelia (Mille) Walden, was born, resulting in five living generations.

Marlene was extremely proud to be a native Montanan and had lived her entire life in Montana.

A private celebration of life has taken place. Interment will be at Glacier Memorial at a later date. If you wish to honor Marlene, simply raise your glass and make a toast to her memory.  She will be missed.
