The 24th annual Bow Wow Bash, the signature fundraiser for Kootenai Pets for Life (KPFL) is set for Saturday at the Libby VFW Harper Erdman Post 1548.
Tickets are still available for the event, which will run from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Dinner tickets are $30 each or $50 for two. Tickets are required to enjoy the catered meal provided by Lola's Asian/Filipino Cuisine. However, no purchase is required to attend and participate in the silent and live auctions.
The VFW Post is located at 114 West 2nd St.
The Bow Wow Bash is a family-friendly event featuring raffles, a silent auction and a live auction. Tickets may be purchased at the Libby Chamber of Commerce or at the KPFL shelter during business hours, Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
For more information, call the shelter at 406-293-5735 or visit kootenaipetsforlife.com. The shelter is located at 125 County Shop Road in Libby and is open Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., or by appointment.
The long-running community tradition unites south Lincoln area residents for an evening of fun that directly supports Kootenai Pets for Life, the no-kill, volunteer shelter serving stray and abandoned dogs and cats of Libby and Troy.
Founded in 2001, KPFL offers shelter, foster care, and low-cost or facilitated spay/neuter services to community cats and dogs. Every animal adopted leaves fully vaccinated, rabies-protected, and already spayed or neutered.
The Bow Wow Bash proceeds fund the daily essentials—pet food, supplies, veterinary care, vaccinations, rabies shots, and spay/neuter procedures—that keep the shelter operating and help reduce the number of unwanted animals in the community.
Last year’s Bow Wow Bash drew more than 100 people and raised about $13,300, money that went straight into animal care. A strong turnout this year will help sustain these vital community services.
For those who cannot attend the Bow Wow Bash, they can still help KPFL make a difference in our local communities. KPFL operates on donations, fundraising events and volunteer support.
Consider a tax-deductible contribution through the organization’s website at kootenaipetsforlife.com or drop off directly at the shelter.
Support, whether by buying a ticket, bidding at the auction, volunteering, fostering, adopting or giving online, helps ensure that local animals receive compassionate care and that the community continues to benefit from a healthier pet population.
