Gale Charles Campbell, DDS, 80, passed away peacefully at home Oct. 9, 2026, surrounded by love.

Gale was born Jan. 16, 1946, in Bremerton, Wash., to Chet and Pauline Campbell. He grew up in Soap Lake, Wash., where he graduated from high school before attending Washington State University. He went on to pursue his passion for dentistry at the University of Washington School of Dentistry. Gale began his dental career in Ephrata, Wash., working alongside Dr. Frolan in 1972. In 1976, he opened his own dental practice in Ephrata, where he dedicated his career to caring for his patients until his retirement in 2014.

Gale had a natural gift for creating beautiful things, and dentistry was the perfect profession for a man who took such pride in his work, valued precision, and found joy in making others smile. Gale had a wonderful sense of humor, often reminiscent of “The Far Side” – clever, quirky, and sometimes delightfully offbeat. He had a way of finding humor in the unexpected and bringing laughter to those around him. His unique perspective on life, along with his adventurous spirit and creative talents, made him truly one of a kind.

Gale had a lifelong love of the outdoors and a wonderful sense of adventure. Whether he was water skiing, snow skiing, golfing, riding motorcycles through the cliffs of Soap Lake, or enjoying sports of all kinds, he embraced life and the experiences it offered.

Above all, Gale loved his family. He was a devoted father to his two daughters, Corie and Kristen, whom he loved dearly. In 1983, he met the love of his life, Vickie, and the two were married in 1988. With their marriage, Gale welcomed two more daughters, Nikki and Jenny, into his heart and loved them as his own. Gale and Vickie shared a beautiful life filled with love, laughter and adventure. Together, they developed a passion for traveling, whether by plane, cruise ship, motorcycle, or across the country in their motor home. For Gale, the joy was not only in the places they visited but, in the memories, they made together along the way.

Gale was preceded in death by his parents, Chet and Pauline Campbell, and his brothers, Robert and Clayton.

He is survived by his loving wife, Vickie; his brother, Larry; his daughters, Corie (James), Kristen, Nikki (Angela) and Jenny (Tracy); eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Gale will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his wonderful sense of humor, his remarkable talents, his love of family and the beautiful life he built with those he held dear. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his family, the memories they shared and the countless lives he touched along the way.

A private family memorial will be held later.

Forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
