Reader supports Flint to balance federal budget

Every decision made in Washington should start with one question: does this put America and her citizens first?

But nowadays it seems that politicians are more concerned with their own bank accounts than what’s good for our country. That's why I'm voting for Aaron Flint, who understands that Washington works for us, not the other way around.

Montanans have to live within their budget every month. Small businesses can't spend money they don't have, and neither can ranch families or county governments. Yet Washington has run deficits in all but four years since 1970 and now carries a debt larger than our entire economy.

Every federal agency should be fully transparent about where taxpayer dollars go. Their budgets should be public and audited. If a family or business couldn't explain its spending, it wouldn't get another dollar, and Washington shouldn't either. Congress should have to balance the federal budget or they should be out of a job.

Passing a balanced budget amendment is one of Aaron’s top priorities, and he has repeatedly said that if Congress can’t balance the budget, then members shouldn’t get paid. On top of that, Aaron wants to ban members of Congress from trading stock.

Members of Congress shouldn’t be compensated for failing the American people or allowed to use privileged information for their financial advantage.

Aaron Flint gets it.

He will put America and her citizens first, always. Join me in voting for him this November.
