The Columbia Falls boys soccer team wrapped up the regular season with a 6-2 win over Thompson Falls/ Plains last week.

Brady Bell had five goals and Whit Albrecht had a goal in the win.

Wildcats out-shot the Blue Hawks 26-8.

The Cats sights are now set on the postseason as they travel to Billings Central to face the 12-0-2 Rams.

Coach O’Brien Byrd noted the Cats are a very young, talented and deep team. He said he expects to play 15 to 16 players Saturday.

“We’re going down there for the upset,” he said.

Finding a crack in the Rams defense will be the key. They’ve only given up six goals all season. But they’ve also had two draws, so their offense isn’t a powerhouse.

“We think we can stop them,” Byrd said. The game is on turf at Amend Park in Billings, so the Cats will go to Kalispell this week and practice at Legends stadium to get a feel for turf before heading for Billings.
