Red Devil netters turn in strong showing

The young Noxon Lady Red Devils played three matches last week, falling to Hot Springs Tuesday and Clark Fork Thursday in Noxon before traveling to St. Regis and falling to the Tigers there Saturday.
Coach Toni Richter thought her Devils came close to showing the world what they are capable of in the match with Clark Fork Thursday. “They moved well, communicated effectively, and played with confidence and intensity,” she said. “It was the strongest performance of the season and a glimpse of what the team can accomplish when everything comes together.”
Richter is seeing growth in her young Noxon netters. “With the season winding down, the focus remains on working hard, building confidence, and continuing to improve,” she offered. “While the win-loss record may not yet reflect the team’s efforts, there are encouraging signs of progress.”
In the match with Hot Springs, Sandy Bonney led the Devils with two kills, six digs and a block, Kaylie Mercer added a kill, Danni Hill a kill, Sydnie Eichert a kill, two assists, five digs and a block, and Nevaeh Christensen two assists, four aces and five digs.
Against Clark Fork, Mercer hit four kills, Bonney two kills, three aces and three blocks, Sydnie Eichert an assist and four digs, Laynie Eichert a kill, Christensen four assists, Mads Thompson four aces and Loganne Curry four digs.
At St. Regis, Mercer hit four kills and 12 digs, Curry three kills, Christensen eight assists and seven aces, Bonney five aces and two blocks, and Sydnie Eichert five assists and seven digs.
Noxon has three more matches this week, at Alberton Tuesday, at Troy Thursday and in Noxon with Charlo Saturday.
