PREP SOCCER: 5A State Tournament schedules and information

SANDPOINT — For the first time ever, Sandpoint and Ponderay will play host to the 5A boys and girls soccer tournament. 

All first-round games for both tournaments will be played at the Field of Dreams (100 Oneida Dr.) in Ponderay, with the boys on Field 1 and the girls on Field 2. On Thursday, the games will be split, with the losing teams at Field of Dreams and the winners at War Memorial Field (801 Ontario St.). Both championship games will be played at War Memorial Field on Saturday.

Both Bulldog teams are in the running for a state title, and their game schedules are listed below. For those looking to watch, all games will be streamed on NFHS. Those looking to attend will need to purchase tickets through the GoFan app.

Tickets for the first and second days cost $12 for adults and $10 for a discounted ticket, which is for students with a high school ID and seniors over 55. Tickets to the championship game will cost $13 for adults and $11 for a discount. A tournament pass for every game can be purchased, which costs $30 for adults and $25 for discounts, plus fees. Children 5 years or younger are free.

Those attending will need to follow IHSAA guidelines, including not bringing noisemakers and not painting their face.
