Dawn Marie Lemon, ‘Sis’, 67, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2026, at home in Hamilton, after a long illness.

She was born Nov. 3, 1958, in Spokane, Wash., the daughter of the late Don Lemon and Patricia McConnell Lemon.

Dawn excelled in sports, especially figure skating and golf, and was an avid gardener. She worked for many years in the dental field in the Spokane area before moving to Montana to live at the family ranch outside of St. Ignatius.

Dawn was always more concerned with the well-being of friends and family than herself, and her animals always came first. She loved them and they loved her.

She was never one to talk about herself and instead was more interested in the experiences and accomplishments of others. Nothing phony about her, genuine as a sunrise, and Oh! that smile.

Dawn would want us to thank her hospice nurses and caregiver who took such good care of her and allowed her to remain at home where she could enjoy her flowers.

Dawn is survived by her brother, Scott, of St. Ignatius; Uncle Jerry and Aunt Dee Dee of Spokane; several cousins and second cousins in Washington; lifelong friends, “the girlz" Ann, Cindy, Deb, Mary and Patty of Washington and many more, and long-time friends Joan Brock of St. Ignatius and Rich Durfee of Hamilton.
