People call soccer the beautiful game but those people would probably get an argument from Thompson Falls volleyball coach Sandra Kazmierczak.

Playing beautiful volleyball together, Kazmierczak’s Lady Hawks defeated Troy 25-13, 25-19, 25-8 in Thompson Falls last Tuesday, Oct. 20, and will complete regular season play with a match in Eureka this Saturday, Oct. 31.

“We’re having a lot of fun playing together. The girls are clicking, really getting along on the court,” Kazmierczak said. “They are excited and hungry to play the rest of the way, starting in Eureka Saturday.”

Nobody played Kazmierczak’s beautiful game better than senior Addy Deal against Troy. A returning all-State B performer and the Hawks’ spiritual and physical leader on the floor, Deal posted another impressive stat line against Troy, smacking 13 kills, stuff blocking eight Troy kill attempts and digging up 12 others, besides hitting a service ace.

The ever-improving senior Aubrey Baxter, a first-year phenom of a player, added 11 kills, two blocks four aces and seven digs, Marley Robinson a team-high 16 digs, two kills and a block, Jasmin Risch 13 digs, three aces and a kill, Audrey Fairbank 26 set assists, three stuff blocks and six digs and Shea Jeffries a kill.

According to officials, there will not be a District 6B or 7B tournament this season and a combined super divisional will be played in Florence Nov. 5-7 instead.
