Linda Lee (Shumate) Jones, 89

Linda Lee (Shumate) Jones, a longtime resident of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and Mesa, Ariz., passed away on her 89th birthday, Oct. 24, 2026, after a brief illness. 

She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Lisa Holmes (Edwin) and grandson Robert Holmes (partner Tyler Ulrich), of Coeur d'Alene; daughter Catherine, of Taos, N.M.; and by her many friends. 

She was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Robert Brick Jones, and her parents, Hoyt and Leta Shumate. 

The family will hold a private service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of North Idaho, 2290 W. Prairie Ave., Coeur d'Alene, ID 83815.
