Russell Beck, 59, a beloved father, partner, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on Oct. 19, 2026, just one day shy of his 60th birthday, after a courageous battle with metastatic cancer. Born on Oct. 20, 1966, in the close-knit community of Havre, Russell was the cherished son of Leonard and Gloria Beck.

From a young age, Russell was instilled with the values of hard work and dedication. These principles were nurtured on the family ranch, where he spent his school years helping with cattle and haying. These early experiences laid the foundation for his future endeavors in the trucking industry. After graduating from Havre High School in 1985, Russell embarked on a career as a commercial truck driver. His tenacity and business acumen led him to establish his own venture, Beck Trucking, which became a testament to his entrepreneurial spirit and tireless work ethic.

Russell’s life was a tapestry of rich relationships and profound love. He married Kathy Watkins in 1984, and together they shared a life and built a family until their separation in 2006. In 2010, he found love again with Laurie Weber, with whom he shared a decade of companionship before parting ways in 2020. In the final years of his life, Russell found a deep and abiding partnership with Marlyn Hardman, who remained by his side from 2021 until his passing.

A devoted father, Russell is survived by his children, Elizabeth "Liz" (Brian) Jackson, Kelly Beck, and Cody Beck, whose lives he enriched with his wisdom and unconditional love. His legacy is carried forward by his three adoring grandchildren, Nadia, Tobin, and Marie, who were a source of immense pride and joy for him.

Russell is also survived by his siblings, whose lives he touched with his kindness and generosity: brother Charles “Jr.” (Sharon) Beck and sisters Arlene Carr, Roxanne Beck, Charlene “Charly” Beck, Sonya Barkley, and Tonya Beck along with many nieces and nephews. He joins his grandparents, Eva and Marvin Beck, Florence and Melvin "Shorty" Cross, and his parents, Leonard and Gloria Beck, in eternal peace.

Beyond his professional achievements, Russell found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. A skilled craftsman, he enjoyed maintaining and repairing his trucks, often teaching himself through manuals and online videos. His creativity extended to his woodworking projects, one of his favorites being a beautifully crafted swing placed lovingly beside his firepit, a symbol of the warmth and love he shared with those around him.

Russell will be remembered for his astute business mind, his talent as a craftsman, and his deep devotion to his family. His warm spirit and generous heart left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

A service to celebrate Russell's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Nov. 6. The location is yet to be determined. In honor of Russell's memory, the family kindly suggests donations be made to a charity of your choice.

Russell's life was a testament to the power of love, resilience, and the enduring bonds of family. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him.
