Daily Inter-Lake | UPDATED 3 hours, 1 minute AGO
Montana Shakespeare in the Parks presents "The Comedy of Errors" Nov. 4, and Kalispell PechaKucha brings a night of storytelling Nov. 12 to the Wachholz College Center.
The Montana Shakespeare in the Parks production is part of its 34th season of Shakespeare in the Schools, a touring program that brings live theater to middle and high schools across Montana and Wyoming.
This fast-paced, 80-minute comedy, which starts at 4 p.m., follows two sets of identical twins who unknowingly cross paths, sparking a hilarious chain of mistaken identities, escalating confusion and chaotic encounters. Adding a fresh twist to Shakespeare’s classic, the production will feature live music as an integral part of the performance.
Audiences are invited to stay after the show for a 20-minute talkback with the actors for a behind-the-scenes look at the production.
Kalispell PechaKucha presents Volume 13 — Tastemakers. The night of storytelling starts at 6:30 p.m. and will feature quick presentations celebrating the local culinary creativity of chefs, caterers, foragers, farmers, restaurateurs, cooks and distillers. Created in Japan in 2003, PechaKucha, which is a Japanese expression for "chitchat," follows a storytelling format that gives each presenter 20 seconds to show 20 slides of visuals to share their story.
No tickets are required to attend the free events. For more information, visit wccmt.org or call the box office at 406-756-1400.
