Whitefish Theatre Company brings chills and thrills to the big screen for Halloween weekend in its sharpest presentation yet on a 4K laser projector.

The thrills begin at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 30 with "Primetime," an A24 psychological thriller directed by Lance Oppenheim (“You Can See Everything”) and based on Luke Dittrich's Esquire article about the 2006 Dateline NBC series, “To Catch a Predator."

"Primetime" follows the story of the popular reality show and its host, Chris Hansen (Robert Pattinson), who confronted and exposed adult men after they arrived at houses under the presumption they were coming to see a minor.

Oppenheim’s “Primetime” revels in the frenzy surrounding the American penchant for deriving entertainment from the darkest of true crime subjects — no matter what line needs to be crossed — and has been described as “media-satire."

At 7:30 p.m. Oct. 31, Michael Myers (Nick Castle, Tony Moran and Will Sandin) brings out his knife and stalks babysitter Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) in John Carpenter's 1978 slasher film that celebrates the horror and gore of Halloween.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students and can be purchased at the door or at whitefishtheatreco.org/wtc-cinema-series.

Both movies will be shown at the O’Shaughnessy Center, 1 Central Ave., Whitefish. Doors open at 7 p.m.

For more information, call the WTC box office at 862-5371.
