The 2027 rendition of the Under the Big Sky music festival will boast some of the best acts in country, folk and alternative music, including headliners Zach Bryan, Kacey Musgraves and Nathaniel Rateliff.

Festival organizer Outriders Present posted the lineup to its social media pages and website on Thursday. The three-day annual event, which attracts 20,000 daily attendees, will take place July 16, 17 and 18.

Other artists expected to perform include Sam Barber, The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers, Midland, Buffalo Traffic Jam, The Wallflowers and Paul Cauthen, along with around 30 other bands and musician.

Under the Big Sky began in 2019 and has brought top-notch musical acts across many different genres to play at Big Mountain Ranch in Whitefish each summer. There is also a rodeo during the festival's weekend run, typically on Friday.

While it's not Bryan's or Rateliff's first time playing Under the Big Sky, it's the first time Musgraves is slated to take the stage.

With the exception of a few tour dates scheduled for Europe, Under the Big Sky is the only show slated so far for Musgraves in 2027. She's been touring the United States this year, following the release of her latest album "Middle of Nowhere," which leans into her Texas upbringing and borrows sounds from Western Swing, bluegrass and regional Mexican music.

Musgraves won Album of the Year and Best Country Album at the 2019 Grammys for "Golden Hour." She also collaborated with Bryan on the 2023 duet "I Remember Everything," which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The single won Best Country Duo/Group Performance at the 66th annual Grammy Awards.

Bryan released an EP earlier this month titled "Young Manhood and Other Donatable Organs." The Oklahoma singer-songwriter has solidified his place in the industry over the last decade with his intimate and soulful music, which leans into classic country western and his home state's "Red Dirt" genre.

The Grammy winning artist is planning an extensive 2027 U.S. tour following the release of his album "With Heaven on Top" earlier this year, along with his most recent EP. He last played at Under the Big Sky in 2022.

Rateliff is also no stranger to Under the Big Sky, though past performances have included his backing band The Night Sweats. They played the inaugural festival in 2019 and returned to perform in 2021.

Based in Denver, singer-songwriter Rateliff is known for an upbeat, soulful sound that transcends folk, pop and rhythm-and-blues. Rateliff has shared the stage with Mumford & Sons, Iron & Wine, the Lumineers, Bon Iver and Rosanne Cash.

Along with the headlining acts, local Montana artists are expected to grace the stages at Under the Big Sky, including Denim Gold, Joe Martinez, Radio Ranch and Badger Hound.

Ticket presale starts Nov. 6 at 10 a.m. Mountain Standard Time. For more information and to see the full lineup for next year's festival, visit www.underthebigskyfest.com/.
