CITY OF OSBURN ORDINANCE NO. 311 APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AMENDMENT AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 307, THE APPROPRIATIONS ORDINANCE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2025, APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL MONIES THAT ARE TO BE RECEIVED BY THE CITY OF OSBURN, IDAHO IN THE SUM OF $150,000; PROVIDING OF REPEAL OF CONFLICTING PROVISIONS AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Osburn adopted the Fiscal Year 2026 Annual Appropriation Ordinance #307 establishing the City’s budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2025, and ending September 30, 2026; and WHEREAS, subsequent to the adoption of the Fiscal Year 2026 budget, the City received unanticipated grant funding in the amount of One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00) for the LHTAC Child Pedestrian Safety Improvements Project; and WHEREAS, Idaho Code § 50-1003 authorizes a city to amend its annual appropriation ordinance when additional revenue from federal, state, or private grants becomes available after adoption of the annual budget; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is necessary and in the best interest of the City to amend the Fiscal Year 2026 budget to recognize the additional grant revenue and increase appropriations accordingly; and WHEREAS, proper notice of the public hearing was published as required by Idaho law, and a public hearing was conducted prior to the adoption of this ordinance.
