Briefs: Aces for Homes, Brezsnyak; McElmurry honored

Whitefish Lake ace for Homes 

Hunter Homes shot a hole-in-one Tuesday at the Whitefish Lake Golf Club.

He used an 8-iron for the shot, which covered 130 yards on No. 6 on the North Course. It was witnessed by Kerin Gayner and Tim Frye. 

Brezsnyak fires Whitefish ace 

David Brezsnyak used a 6-iron to ace No. 4 on the North Course at Whitefish Lake Golf Club on Saturday. 

The shot, which covered 186 yards from the blue tees, was witnessed by Denise Brezsnyak, Brandon Altmeyer and Katherine Altmeyer. 

Libby official Joe McElmurry honored  

Libby’s Joe McElmurry is among nine Montanans named Officials of the Year for the state, Brian Michelotti of the Montana High School Association announced Tuesday. 

McElmurry was honored for his work as a football official, under the auspices of the Montana Officials Association, the National Federation of State High School Associations and the MHSA, for which Michelotti is executive director. 

The award was created last school year and will continue to be selected annually.
